My 97 jeep wrangler won’t start after replacing the clutch master cylinder, and the slave cylinder. If anyone could please shoot in some info on why my 1997 jeep won’t start after replacing the slave and master clutch cylinders, it won’t even try to crank up and no the bat isnt dead I just checked it with the dmm all the electronics turn on fine but the truck just won’t start.
A: Check the clutch pedal switch, jump the wires and see if the starter works.

I bought a Jeep Wrangler yesterday. It has a 4wd automatic. I am not familiar with 4wd. It drove fine but shifting from 2wd to 4wd there was a lot of grinding. Two sales people including the manager told me this was normal. I drove it 100 miles home. On the way I played with shifting the transmission more. I am convinced that there is something wrong with it. I believe that they misrepresented the car to me in a big way. What should I do?
A: Going in or out of high range should be easy,no grinding etc. going from 4 hi to 4 low with an automatic the manual says this. Vehicle to be moving 2 to 3 miles per hour,transmission shifted to neatrul,transfer case shifted to low,then transmission put back into drive. Same when shifting back out of low range. Yes it will grind something awful if not done like the manual says so i found out.
Sometimes they will not want to shift out of 4 wd,if so then just back up sharply and then shift out of 4 wd. That will release the torque pressure on the drive gears.

A: I had a 97 with 151K on it that I just sold to get a new 06 just like it. Oddly enough, the 97 ran better, and got better gas mileage than the new one. There’s no reason that, with proper care and maintenance, you can’t get 200,000+ miles on it without major problems.
Do put it into 4 WD for a few yards every now and then, if you don’t use it regularly.

A: not bad, it is not considered a sports vehicle, or a “fast” car, so the insurance won’t be to high. Instead of that, it really depends on what company you go through.

A: your questions not quite clear lol, a body lift separates the body from the frame..a suspensions lift separates the axel from the frame and body..you can take your body lift off, buy 3 inch coil springs and shocks, and it will be the same hight it is now just the body and frame will be flush. coils and shocks can be pretty spendy so you might wanna stick with what you got.

Sell it yourself. You will make more dough. Place it in your local paper and put a for sale sign on it while you drive it around.
Don’t forget to detail it. If the carpet is trashed I would remove it. Shinny paint is better than a carpet stain in a JEEP. I’d even go the extra mile, spend the 60 bucks and have the motor steamed.

The axles on my wrangler are kind of shoddy, but especially the front one. Rebuild, or get a used one?
A: Many of the 1985 axles had a vacuum disconnect on the passenger side.. These can be troublesome. The axle should bolt up to the Wrangler fine. Measure the control arm mounting points to verify. However, I would not add the complication of a the vacuum disconnect of the 85 has one.

A: With practice it get’s easy, but here’s a tip: try to put the top UP in the sun. It makes the fabric more pliable and a little stretchy. It also makes it about 200% easier to put the top on. If it’s cold the material doesn’t want to move much so it’ll feel like it’s fighting you.

I can not take the bulbs out i also have lights in the rear view mirror.
I did try to pull them out (fuses) one by one but nothing turned them off did not know of another way. My 04 i was able to pull fuse seems to be different thanks

A: Check firing order did.did you set the number one piston to top dead center.When you set the distributor in was it pointing to the number one plug.Bring the #1 piston to top dead center remove distributor cap and see if the rotor is pointing at the #1plug you can be 180 degree out.the hardest thing I had was lining up the oil pump at the bottom where the distributor sets in
