Q: What do I need to engine swap a BMW m3 e36 engine and put a BMW s65 v8.?
I was planning on getting a s65 BMW engine and take out the straight 6. What am I going to have to change. And is it possible to put a s65 engine in a BMW m3 e36.
A: you can, that would be an interesting swap. I mean I’ve seen a E46 M3 with a V10 S85 in the hood
be warned that the weight distribution will not be good. car will sort of gain weight in the front. you will need a different transmission as well. It will be expensive.

Q: It is possible to install an amplifier of sparks in BMW m3 e92 coupe?
I want to leave my m3 e92 with + / – 500hp without installing superchargers or turbochargers. I want a project only aspirated.
I thought of installing air filter K & N sports, polishing collectors, sized titanium exhaust, NGK Iridium plugs, gasoline podium, remapped ECU, forged pistons and perhaps to increase the rate of cmpressão. What do you think?
A: I think that not wanting to turbo/super is a big, big mistake. Pound for pound, dollar for dollar, forced induction is the best way to increase horsepower and torque. It would take very mild boost/ modification to get that kind of power out of a forced induction motor, versus all kinds of time, money and trouble going for that kind of power with Natural aspiration.

I can understand changing the color of the car, but removing the vinyl of the M3 is just plain stupid. You cannot get it back, it’s the only one that looks good on it, and IT’S ON THE COVER OF THE GAME!

A: I’m not sure exactly, however if you search for downloadable pictures, and take those to a speed shop, you may be able to duplicate it that way.

I have a 2002 bmw m3. should i drive it in the winter time? i am going to put 4 blizzak snow tires.
A: I have an 01 (same model) and I did some crazy stuff (on new tires, Mich Pilot Plus) that I didn’t think I could do. For highway driving, I would say no. Even a slight bit of snow on the road at highway speeds causes the rear to wave back and forth like a fishes tail (the front tracks straight). For low-speed driving it is ok, but those wiiide tires don’t help for anything, infact they hurt. Then there is the issue of cold starts It gets down to 15F here, and the BMW idles rougher until it gets warmed up. Never been a problem though. All things considered, yes, but no in snow.

I need a replacement head for my cracked cylinder head on my m3. I was wondering if any 3 series would fit it or how that might work. Does anyone know which ones are compatible?
A: another 1995 bmw m3. but you see this happened to me and i read on a web site about replacing the heads and it says that if you do it to redo the bottom half that it will break something or mess the rings up bad. so basicaly it was saying that to just replace the motor.

I was just curious because all the car stat sites ive been to say that the sedan does 0-60 in about 5.5 seconds and the coupe only does it in 6.2 sec. I thought the engines were the same, but I may be wrong. If someone could tell me why, that would be great. I am just curious.
A: They probably started out as the same engine but the M3 has all the performance parts and the coupe doesn’t, thus it being faster.

A: most coupes are heavier than sedan’s and are lower to the ground and hug the ground betta than sedans,,,the coupes handle betta on turns and manuvering,,,maybe on-road can tell a differnt story,,,
Q: I cannot start the BMW M3 engine?
I bought a 98 BMW M3 which was not running. The previous owner told me it has electrical problem and indicated out one burn wire that connects from the relay box to the control module unit (computer box), I replaced new wire, but could not start the engine. Is there any problem with the control module unit (computer box)? or any thing else that makes the the engine won’t start? I also had the ignition and key replaced (if this is the problem, how can I fix it). Thank you for your advice.
A: i dont the solution of this problem but i can share my problem if this can help. i have 1998 m3 evo convertible. it has a weak battery. when i came back from holiday the battery was dead. when i opened the doors through remote the alarm goes on. i have a separate ESW alarm. i turned the alarm off and tried to jump start the car. but the key didn’t start the car, although all the ignition lights are on. untill now i have been told to reprogram the the key.

Listen Kareem I value your opinion but i do in fact need the power of the M3.
A: It will get very expensive because they’re OEM products and will require installation ergo raising service costs. If you can get them before you buy, that would be best; otherwise, opt for a 3-series (you really don’t need the power of an M3) and load it with options. You have to be comfortable with the interior before dealing with the exterior.
EDIT:
Ok, understood, you may have different requirements thus beckoning the power of an M3. Nonetheless, it will be very expensive to purchase extra options after purchasing the car. I am aware of this because I’ve considered installing options into my car and the costs are just too much. If you need the power of an M3, then either get it as base and save up for the options, or get a Nissan GT-R and buy aftermarket additions…can’t really think of many more alternatives. Good luck.

The rear windows are those pop out ones. If I just open them normally will that be enough room to put the seals on. You dont have to take the windows off completely do you?
A: Cut the old ones away with a very sharp knife.
Then fit the new ones with a piece of strong string placed in the gap in the rubber , place one edge into the car and carfully pull the string which lifts the rubber over the car metal bodywork. But you must be carefull as if you bend the glass too much it will break. Or get a windscreen fitter to do it for you

A: The M3s only real weakness are the brakes, so I’d begin with a proper brake kit and some Bilstein PSS9s. Then a good exhaust, CSL rims and CSL-style carbon fibre intake manifold.
If funds allow, painted carbon fibre hood and trunk.
